Day of Defeat 1.3 server, the original WW2
Before Source there was THE Day of Defeat: 2003, GoldSrc, and it still holds the line.
Our Day of Defeat 1.3 server is a 24-player pub rotating through eight cult maps: dod_avalanche, dod_donner, dod_anzio, dod_flash, dod_kalt, dod_caen, dod_merderet and dod_charlie. Point capture, Allies against Axis, the dry and nervous pace of the original DoD.
1.3 is the historic GoldSrc version, the one from early-2000s LANs and clans. Our server runs a hardened engine against the exploits of its age without touching gameplay, and stays listed in the Steam browser with VAC on. The MG is waiting on Avalanche.

Which maps are in the rotation?
Eight cult classics: dod_avalanche, dod_donner, dod_anzio, dod_flash, dod_kalt, dod_caen, dod_merderet and dod_charlie. The map changes every twenty minutes.
What do I need to play?
Day of Defeat (1.3, not Source) on Steam, a few euros. It runs on anything. No sign-up on our side: connect and play.
How is it different from Day of Defeat: Source?
1.3 is the 2003 GoldSrc original: drier, faster, with maps Source never got like caen or charlie. We host both, pick your era.
Is the server faithful to the original game?
Yes: classic settings, no gameplay-altering plugins. The server engine is simply hardened against the known exploits of its age, like our other GoldSrc servers.
Is the server protected against cheaters?
Yes, VAC is on: a banned account cannot connect. The server keeps full logs and the crew acts on precise reports (name, time, context).
