    Around 10 pm, Valve ships an update for its Source games. Servers left on the old version become unreachable, ours are up to date in under fifteen minutes. Players pour in and Counter-Strike: Source stays full for 25 minutes.

How we count

  • One probe a minute

    Every minute, each server on the network is queried for its player count, slots and map. Filler bots are not counted.

  • Hours played

    One hour played is one player online for an hour. Ten players for six minutes also make an hour.

  • Paris time

    Days and hours follow Paris time, the crew's home clock.

  • Since September 12

    Detailed numbers start on September 12. The rankings keep the in-game name, never an IP address or an account ID.
