Build your base, print your money, defend it all guns blazing. The cult 2014 server lives again on Garry's Mod.
TheWarServer is a French BaseWars server that left its mark on Garry's Mod between 2014 and 2018. The crew brought it back with its original content carefully restored, the WarPoints shop, the levels, the homemade factions and even the loading music. It all runs on gm_bigcity, with 32 slots and VAC enabled.
Here, fighting is part of the deal. RDM is allowed like in the old days, your base is your bank and war funds your next defenses. The historic rules show up on the loading screen, cheating and prop abuse stay banned, and the rest of the network watches from backstage.

How to join the TheWarServer server
- 01Launch Garry's Mod, open Start multiplayer game and look for "TheWarServer" in the server browser.

What is BaseWars?
A mode where everyone builds a base, fills it with money printers and defends it against the rest. Raiding is part of the game, you can attack and be attacked. The goal is to end up the richest and best-armed player on the server.
Is RDM really allowed?
Yes, it has been TheWarServer's signature since 2014. Fighting is part of the gameplay and you may shoot without warning. Prop abuse and cheating remain forbidden, and network rules cover the rest.
Do I need to install anything before joining?
No, everything downloads automatically on your first join, original content and modern selection included. Allow a few minutes the first time, after that you get in within seconds.
What are WarPoints?
The server's historic loyalty currency. You earn them by playing, with playtime milestones, and spend them in the original point shop. Members of the TheWarServer Steam group also receive their rank automatically.
Is the server protected against cheaters?
Yes, VAC is enforced and everything is logged. RDM is legal, cheating never is. A precise report (nickname, time, context) lets us act fast.
